CHEN started the morning with a small meeting about the Back to School Promotion that Corey assigned me to plan. It actually will be a 5-day, twenty or thirty minute event near WIC to promote aspects of 5-2-1-0 and MyPlate. I would be attending three days only. I wanted to focus on physical activity and proper hydration for most days. Two of the days would focus on healthy nutrition. Skye and Kara decided they’d use the air fryer and do popcorn on one day, along with promoting a few brochures about eating well when you don’t have time, eating smart when you go out to eat, and 100 calorie snacks. The second day they promote healthy nutrition, they agreed on doing a ‘fruit sushi’ that consists of whole grain tortilla with low-fat strawberry cream cheese and strawberries along with the same materials to promote. Stephanie, Corey, and I would take three days to do proper hydration and use a few tear away sheets about the physical activity geared towards children, the 1 and 0 brochures from 5-2-1-0 and use the physical activity wheel. We decided that doing a strawberry orange water to promote a different way to drink water might be successful. Tanisha and I planned for Ebonwood by talking about how we would do the 5-2-1-0 Olympics for the kids. The presentation is almost finished and I feel a bit more confident in using the Flesch-Kincaid for revisions.
